I'm Benjamin Ezequiel, a designer an researcher exploring human-computer interaction through digital tools and games. I'm currently pursuing an MA in Interaction Design, where my work focuses on systems that explore human cognition and let people create and think in new ways.
Much of my recent work asks how design can give people more agency over the systems they rely on, by making their hidden mechanisms more transparent. This has taken shape in projects that use network traffic as a space to renegotiate surveillance-based interactions, and interface interventions that reduce dissociation on social media.
My background spans over five years across visual design, UX, and development, which lets me take an idea from early concept through to a working interface. At MBOCHIP, I designed interfaces for the main institutional trading platform in Brazil, and led the creation of a design system from scratch.
My approach is to immerse myself in a new area and find the connections it shares with more familiar ones. I keep a steady practice of small experiments to test ideas and put knowledge to work in the real world, some of which you can find on my Experiments or Projects pages.
